A series of abstract photographs, converted blank paper and four primary CMYK colors to RGB colors by DSLR camera, reflects Yujun Jiang’s academic life from graphic design to digital media design. The blank paper is a metaphor for his life before to get into the design field, and the colors have inspired Jiang a lot on how to create better works both in physical and digital world in the past four years. The gradient from white to the primary CMYK color on each paper can work with the light box; the frequency of the artificial light, and the light refraction can change the original color of the white space to generate complementary colors. The title Gradient conveys the idea to show the growing process as a designer.
